Complete dataset corresponding to Statbank table 08801 for download. Norwegian import and export - all countries and commodity numbers 1988-2019. 

Updates are planned after the release of final and revised figures in May each year. 

The datasets can best be imported to a database or opened in programs like R or SAS.

Download CSV (semicolon separated) as ZIP.

The structure of the datasets is a little different from Statbank table 08801.

The files includes the following  variables:

Variable 1 - aargang, year
Variable 2 - impeks, 1=imports and 2=exports
Variable 3 - varenr,  commodity number in the Norwegian Customs tariff. Please see the detailed commodity list for further information.
Variable 4 - obland,  country of origin for imports, country of destination for exports. Please see KLASS for further information.
Variable 5 – vnr_m2,  codes for description of quantity units. Please see description  below. 
Variable 6 - mengde1, quantity 1
Variable 7 – mengde 2, quantity 2
Variable 8 - v_sum, value in NOK

Explanation of the codes for description of quantity units- variable 5 (vnr_m2)

1 – quantity1 = kilogramme and quantity2 = none
2 – quantity1 = mwh and quantity2 = none
B – quantity1 = gross tonnes and quantity2 = number 
C – quantity1 = kilogramme and quantity2 = carat 
F – quantity1 = kilogramme and quantity2 = barrels
G – quantity1 = kilogramme and quantity2 = gram
K – quantity1 = kilogramme and quantity2 = calculated kilogramme 
L – quantity1 = kilogramme and quantity2 = litre 
M – quantity1 = kilogramme and quantity2 = metre 
P – quantity1 = kilogramme and quantity2 = pair 
S – quantity1 = kilogramme and quantity2 = number
U – quantity1 = kilogramme and quantity2 = cubic metre 
V – quantity1 = kilogramme and quantity2 = square metre
