Department for business and environmental statistics

The Department of business and environmental statistics is responsible for statistics and analyses relating to the business sector’s activity and development, ownership, accounting, research and development (R&D) and innovation, production and consumption of energy, and natural resources and the environment. The department produces a wide range of statistics, from detailed annual business statistics to short-term economic indicators. The statistics cover the topics Energy and manufacturing, Construction, housing and property, Wholesale, retail trade and service activities, Transport and tourism. The department is also responsible for management and development of the Business Register.
