Statistical Classifications and Code Lists

The system is called Klass and the English version has the address  www.ssb.no/en/klass/. Here you can get access to all our classifications in Norwegian and English and download them as CSV-files.

There is also an API (Application Programming Interface) where we offer the formats JSON and XML.

It is possible to subscribe to classifications, and then get mail about changes. Klass now includes about 120 different statistical classifications and 500 versions connected to these.

 When you select a classification, you will see different tabs:

Behind the “Changes” tab you will get the changes between the previous and the current version.

The “Correspondences” tab  shows the connection between the version of a selected classification and versions of other classifications (e.g. the connection between Classification of municipalities and Classification of counties).

Behind the “About the version” tab it is possible to see a log of changes within a version.
